Tripp VanderWal advises private, public and non-profit employers of varying sizes. He has significant experience in employee benefit plans, including: group health plans; Section 125 cafeteria plans; disability plans, 401(k) plans, ESOPs, 403(b) plans; 457 deferred compensation plans; and nonqualified deferred compensation plans. Tripp counsels employers with benefit plan design; drafting plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and other employee communications; assisting employers with regulatory compliance, including audits. In addition, he assists employers in complying with federal and state laws, data privacy laws and in responding to breaches of personal information. Tripp earned his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law. He is also a CPA having earned a Masters in Accounting from University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
